I think that is a really cruel way of looking at it. Women are under constant, immense pressure to be physically perfect. It’s obviously a terrible idea, but society tells women that their worth is wrapped up in their appearance, and feeds them constant lies about how to achieve it. Personal agency is only a small part of this horror.
