I think what he’s saying is that it’s boring to be recommended the same three books over and over. There’s nothing wrong with loving Harry Potter (I love HP!)—the problem is that the trillions of people recommending HP take over the site’s recommendation algorithm, thereby reccing a book for people that… they already know about.
