First half edition!

Another year, another intimidating, impressive, beautiful TBR of new releases. 2022 appears particularly rich, which is why I was unable to help myself: I went a bit overboard with this first half of 2022 book preview. You’ll want to pay particular attention to Danya Kukafka’s NOTES ON AN EXECUTION, a fearless dive into the mind of a serial killer as he approaches his last days on death row — and more importantly, into the lives of the women who were impacted by his choices; Heather O’Neill’s WHEN WE LOST OUR HEADS, a bizarre, funny, brilliant look at two best friends in 19th century Montreal; and Julie Otsuka’s THE SWIMMERS, a novel about a community of swimmers at a local pool that Publisher’s Weekly calls “brilliant and disarming.”
